Launching Fall 2026

Apartment movers in Charlotte, NC

Apartment moves get held up by paperwork more often than by furniture. The building wants a certificate of insurance, a reserved elevator and a two-hour dock window, and it wants all three in advance.

What this job is like here

South End, Uptown and Plaza Midwood run on managed buildings, and managed buildings run on rules. Reserved freight elevators, COIs naming the property, dock windows that close on the hour. We start the paperwork the day your date is booked so nothing stalls at the front desk.

Worth knowing: New-lease season runs hard through summer and buildings book their elevators weeks out. The earlier we lock your date, the better the window.

What's included

  • Certificate of insurance requests sent to your property manager ahead of the date
  • Elevator and loading-dock reservations coordinated with the leasing office
  • Protective padding for elevator cabs and shared corridors
  • Stair-carry pricing for walk-ups, quoted up front so it's never a surprise
  • Tight-turn disassembly for sectionals and platform beds

How it runs

Three steps, start to finish

Read the building rules

Move-in hours, elevator policy, COI requirements, dock access, fines for missing a window.

Get the paperwork moving

Insurance certificate and reservations submitted early enough for the office to approve them.

Work the window

Load and unload inside the reserved block so nothing spills into a second visit.

This is probably you if

Questions

Apartment Moving FAQ

A certificate of insurance is proof that your moving company carries coverage. Most managed buildings won't release an elevator without one naming the property as certificate holder. Send us the building's requirements and we'll request it for you.

Some buildings charge for it and some just push you to the next open block. It's the single biggest reason apartment moves get expensive, so we book the window first and load the truck to it.

Walk-ups take longer, so they cost more. We quote that difference before move day so you know it going in.
