The job
What you'd actually be doing
You work a truck with two or three others. The day starts at the shop, runs until the last box is where the customer wants it, and most of our crew leads started right here.
Nobody expects you to arrive knowing how to wrap a dresser. We expect you to show up when you said you would and to listen on the first job.
- Pad and wrap furniture before any of it moves
- Carry, stack and load so the truck holds together on the road
- Take apart and rebuild beds, tables and anything that won't fit through a door
- Put things where the customer asked, not where they landed
- Leave the house tidier than the truck found it

Hourly. Pay follows what you can do, and it moves as you get better. Hours climb through the summer and thin out in winter.

No. Plenty of good movers started with none. Turning up on time and listening on the first few jobs matters more than a resume.
Heavy. Sofas, appliances, gun safes, upright pianos on the bad days. It's a two-person carry when it needs to be, and part of the skill is knowing which ones those are.
Crew lead, then driver. That's the normal route and most of the people running our trucks came through it.
