Dispatcher / Scheduler in Charlotte, NC

Runs the board. Books the jobs, builds the day, and rebuilds it when the day breaks.

Charlotte — Coming Fall 2026

We're booking quotes and move dates now, and hiring the first Charlotte crew. Everyone on the priority list hears from us before the schedule opens.

The job

What you'd actually be doing

The dispatcher is the person every crew and every customer speaks to before nine in the morning.

Charlotte opens with the operations manager covering this, and the seat comes out on its own once there are enough trucks to justify it. We'd rather say that plainly than advertise a job that isn't there yet.

  • Book jobs and build the next day's schedule against the crews you actually have
  • Answer the phone for customers who are already booked
  • Move the day around when a job runs long or a truck goes down
  • Keep the CRM honest so the estimates and the invoices match what happened
  • Chase certificates of insurance and elevator bookings before the crew is at the door

What we need

Who this works for

  • You've scheduled people and vehicles before, in any industry
  • Calm on the phone with somebody whose crew is running two hours late
  • Organized enough to hold a day in your head and a system at the same time
  • Early starter. The board is set before the trucks leave

Helps, doesn't decide it

Nice to have

  • Moving, delivery or trades dispatch experience
  • You know the Charlotte metro and how long it really takes to cross it
  • Any CRM or scheduling-software background

Missing all three has never stopped us hiring somebody who turns up and listens.

Before it opens

Tell us now, and we'll call you then

Call or text the office, or send an email with the role in the subject line. Tell us which market, which job, and what you've done before. Somebody gets back to you.

A resume helps for the operations manager job. For crew work it isn't needed, and never having written one has never cost anybody a shift here.

Questions

Dispatcher / Scheduler FAQ

Please do. When the seat opens we'd rather call somebody we've already met than start a search from nothing.

It's the same work seen from a different chair, so it's a fair route. Nobody's promising it.
