The job
What you'd actually be doing
Packing is its own job and its own pace. You're in somebody's kitchen the day before their life goes in a truck, working through cupboards they haven't opened in years.
It's lighter than crew work and less forgiving. A badly packed box doesn't break on the day you packed it.
- Pack whole homes room by room, kitchens and china cabinets included
- Wrap glass, art and anything with a corner that chips
- Label so the crew can put every box in the right room without asking
- Build cartons and crates for the awkward items
- Keep track of what's packed and what the customer wants left out
